GRADE 3 VISITS JARDIN BOTANICO

 The students in Grade 3 "C" paid a visit to the "Jardín Botánico" with their homeroom Teacher and they could learn a lot a lot about the flora and fauna of our region. Needless to say, they had such a great time enjoying this fabulous place.

PROYECTO "MANZANA 9”

--> Estimados apoderados:

El día 22 de Noviembre se realizará el primer operativo social de nuestra Comunidad AIS, en el sector de “La Chimba”, llevando a cabo el  proyecto " Manzana 9". Para esta actividad el equipo Directivo en conjunto con los Papás Delegados han planificado una serie de actividades, además se sumarán nuestros alumnos y staff de profesores. 
A los delegados de todos los cursos le recordamos que tendremos reunión el próximo Viernes 7 de Noviembre. A las  08.15 horas en el Salón Auditorio.

Esta actividad que corresponde al Aprendizaje Experiencial del  IB  y que  es parte de todo el proceso educativo y que culmina con el  Programa del Diploma. GRADE 3 C VISITS PARANAL!

On Saturday, October 18, Grade 3 "C" students along with their parents and their Homeroom Teacher, Ms. Rivera visited the European Southern Observatory at Paranal. They enjoyed the guided tour offered by the Observatory and they even remembered some interesting facts about the universe and the solar system which they studied in class as part of their curriculum. Everybody, parents included, had a wonderful time.

AIS students visit Comedor Maria Acoge

On Saturday, October 18, 11 students, 7 parents and Mr. Mark visited Comedor Maria Acoge. This is a soup kitchen in La Chimba that operates on weekends for children who may not get a nutritious meal on the weekend.  Run through the efforts of community parents and volunteers, this soup kitchen is working towards self-sustainability.  We had the privilege to bring a few non-perishable food items, enjoy some activities and eat lunch with the children there.  It was really amazing to see everyone participate in different ways and even meet new friends.  Students showed open-minded, responsible and caring attitudes and were truly excellent representatives of the AIS community.

U DE ANTOFAGASTA VISITA AIS

Los alumnos de Cuarto Medio, recibieron la visita de un equipo de Académicos y Alumnos de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Antofagasta, con quienes mantuvieron un diálogo importante para sumar antecedentes antes de iniciar el proceso de Postulación a las Universidades Chilenas año 2015.
